BLUE LINE – OPTIMISED FOR BRUSH
Standard colours of Argentinean AF planes during the Falklands (Malvinas) conflict.
The Argentine Air Force (Fuerza Aérea Argentina) took active part in Falklands (Malvinas) Conflict in 1982 using majority of then possessed types of planes. Part of the aircraft (incl. Mirage IIIEAs and IAI Daggers) wore standard camouflage colours (similar to US SEA scheme). At the same time pre-war colours of intensively used IA-58A Pucara ground attack planes of overall semi-matt aluminium were quickly regarded as inappropriate, which led to camouflaging the deployed aircraft in field condition with locally available paints (hence wide variety of schemes and colour tones used).
Contains the following colours (acrylic paints, water-based, optimised for use with brush):
HTK-B012 – Dark Tan – FS30219, used for upper surfaces of FAA’s Mirage IIIEAs, overhauled IAI Daggers, C-130s / KC-130s and CH-47C Chinooks
HTK-B016 – Dark Green – FS34079, used for upper surfaces of FAA’s Mirage IIIEAs, overhauled IAI Daggers, C-130s / KC-130s and CH-47C Chinooks
HTK-B021 – Medium Green – FS34102, used for upper surfaces of FAA’s Mirage IIIEAs, locally overhauled IAI Daggers and C-130 / KC-130 Herculeses
HTK-B039 – Camouflage Grey – FS36622, used for lower surfaces of Mirage IIIEAs, overhauled IAI Daggers, C-130s / KC-130s and A-4Cs („Andean” camo)
